The old saying “Shoot where you live” is true and I have tried to do a lot of this. Having said that, it is also true that sometimes it takes a lot of looking at a landscape or view you have looked at a hundred, or a thousand times before – to see it in a new or unique way, as a photographic subject. Then capture it to convey it as you are seeing it.
